GB No. 4(19)/95
The voivodship of Legnica has been included in a list of 27 regions facing environmental danger. Therefore it is necessary to take steps to reduce the detrimental impact of the industry and the new consumption-oriented model of life upon the environment.
The Municipal Public Library in Legnica developed an idea of organising a special branch. The new section was to include not only books about the region but also on nature in Poland and around the world. Also, a bank of environmental information appeared necessary.
The environmentalists' library was opened on 20 May 1994. The place also unites all those who are concerned about environmental protection.

We wish to establish contact also with your organisation.
If you happen to have any publications on environmental issues (books, brochures, periodicals) we would be obliged if you could donate or sell them to us, however our financial means are limited.
We hope that our co-operation will mean not only exchanging publications but that it will also develop in future. We plan to organise seminars and we will be glad to see representatives of your organisation participate in them.
