GB No. 3, winter 1990/91
I saw a road accident. Alas, it was a road accident like any other. Someone was run over by car. A doctor was coming - he certified a death. An ambulance took a body off the street.
Is that right?
I saw a dog small, lost dog looking for his master. Someone screamed at him while another tried to strike. The dog didn't understand what was going on. He had done nothing to these men. Suddenly... on the other side of the street he caught sight of his master. He rushed to this man. Then I heard only the thud of the crash and squeal of a dog. Nobody was interested in the dog. And only one tender - hearted lady was screaming: Clear out the carcass! It makes one sick!
Should that be?!?
When a man dies, people do everything to save him from death. When an animal dies on the street or in public, nobody does anything for him.
Should that be?
