Environmental protection has become a concern of all people in the world. More and more money is being spent on protecting the air and water against pollution, as well as regaining the areas devastated by industry for agriculture and recreation.
The fight to prevent this desruction is not only the concern of governments; the involvement of society is extremely precious. Recently, artists, architects, writers and photographers have contributed to this by founding the Society of Artistic Action for Environmental Protection. The Society has been strongly supported by scientists of the Poznań Academy of Agriculture as well as many other scientific and cultural institutions, e.g. Schweizerischer Bund fuer Naturschutz has pledged its cooperation with the Society's Committee (cf. Zofia Dohnke).
