DUTIES OF "ENGLISH" WORKER/VOLUNTEER

• fundraising and/or
• administration of internet serwer most.org.pl
• developing of webpages zb.eco.pl/zb
• layouting and graphic desing of our publications
• work in the Editorial Staff of Green Brigades - Ecologists' Paper
• correction of English texts for Green Brigades
• cooperation with translators
• making digest of best articles from English magazines (for further translation to Polish for Zielone Brygady)
• possibly translations to English and to Polish
• arranging English conversations with activists from Green Federation and workers from the Foundation for the Support of Ecological Initiatives and the Regional Environmental Center
• participation in the discussion lists and conferences on E-mail, searching for information, answering questions via InterNet
• preparing electronic versions of our publications and putting them in gophers and servers of InterNet
• possibly preparing "fast" electronic information service on environmental topics in Poland
• possibly running discussion list and/or conference on the above issue
• informing interested InterNet users about activities of Green Brigades, recent publications etc.

QUALIFICATIONS

• good knowledge of English (a native speaker preferably)
• knowledge of word processor and database programs
• knowledge of InterNet
• possibly some knowledge of Polish and other languages

CONDITIONS

• accommodation, food and other expenses must be at least partly financed by some foundation (Charity Know How?, Prince of Wales Foundation??; UK Peace Corps???)

We are also looking for a volunteer who could help us with making corrections in English texts for Green Brigades. He could do this job via E-mail. Some knowledge of Polish might be necessary.
