To whom it may concern
Community Environmental Educational Developments (C.E.E.D.) is an environmental organisation, specialising in promoting urban nature conservation and environmental education and training. C.E.E.D has many links with Poland and its projects have included an annual bilateral environmental exchange between C.E.E.D., AGH University in Krakow and Sunderland University. C.E.E.D. and Fundacja Wspierania Inicjatyw Ekologicznych (F.W.I.E) are partners in the Give a Hand to Nature Project, based in Krakow, to reclaim an urban conservation site for environmental education and community use. This project also includes a training programme focusing on the creation and maintenance of urban nature spaces for Polish environmentalists. This comprises a month in Sunderland receiving training and a month working at the site in Krakow. There is also an environmental youth exchange with Greenworks, from Nowy Sacz.
C.E.E.D.'s work in Poland began in 1989 and throughout this time Publishing House "Zielone Brygady" has been an extremely valuable resource for C.E.E.D. It provides current and wide-ranging coverage of the Polish environmental issues. C.E.E.D. uses Publishing House "Zielone Brygady" to network with similar environmental groups in Poland and Central and Eastern Europe. The newsletter acts as a forum for debate amongst organisations and individuals in the environmental field. C.E.E.D. has been able to generate many links with environmental groups both in Poland and across Europe due to the existence of Publishing House "Zielone Brygady". C.E.E.D. is now developing its work in Poland with neighbouring Central and Eastern European countries. C.E.E.D supports any activities to promote and strengthen the work of Publishing House "Zielone Brygady".
